About the Project

Project Story

Oxon Hill is a 558.72 kW community solar project that is installed on the underutilized rooftop area of a self-storage facility located in Oxon Hill, Maryland. This project was the first community solar energy generating system to receive authorization to operate within Pepco's Maryland territory as well as one of the first rooftop community solar projects within the Mid-Atlantic. Oxon Hill provides approximately 150 households within Prince George's County and Montgomery County with locally produced and emissions-free solar energy.
